Self-reflection 2

Self-reflection 2

In this course I had learned a lot of lessons that will develop my style to deal with the others and to improve my skills to a high level. One of these lessons was about the communication with the others, managers and the group member. On the manager scale by learning how to write a good and a tractive CV before meeting also writing a good letter to make the managers or how read it to meet you and them and after meeting them how to do a good interview which can help to get the job that you applied for want, like type of question I can ask and couldn’t ask such as the salary and the other things that might make a bad impression to the interviewer.

Also one of these lessons was about how to do a group project and how to deal with it. It was a very good and a very nice topic, especially if you choses your team. It was interested to choose the topic and to propose visit to obtain information which was exclusive for our team. We were very happy to have this visit because we couldn’t find the information in the internet.

Overall the course was very interested and related to the real live and that’s what made it interested. The main reason that made all of us me and my classmates like the course is the teacher Mr. Greg, who made the classes very interested and made us enjoy the lessons and we will be thankful to you Mr. Greg. Finally I want to end me self-reflection with an old Arad saying (who did not thank people did not thank Gad), Thank you Mr. Greg for everything.J

Etihad railway

New technology:

In the wild range the technology has been develop very much in the material which use to build the trains or on the railways. However he trains which is transport the passenger, has a high technology to handle the high speed and to be safely to use. For example, in Japan they used a high technology to build their train which can move with very high speed reaching to 200Km/h, it’s using the electricity. The electricity line built to be beside the railway line. However, for the Etihad railways there is not very much technology use because it’s a trains will carry the material and its will be used on industry so no need to use a high technology, but in farther stage when the railways will take passenger there will be used for the technology to use the electrical energy and to provide a safety train.

Composition & production

Composition

The railway steel is built in Italy and Istria said (Goryl, 2012), the concrete sleeper which carry the steel railways made here in the UAE in al Marfa factory, which proved the concrete sleeper in shorter time and its closer to the site. Also the ties which is connected the steel bars to the concrete sleeper is made from steel and it’s painted to avoid the rust and that’s the railway composition. However the composition of the train is very simple at the first stage it’s only going to include the locomotive cart and the container cart, the reason of this because in the first stage on the railways which will establish in 2013 will only use for industry business. The contactor for build the railways is three contractors two from Italy, and one from India.

Production:

The main production and what is expected is to carry the carry the high tons of material instead of using the heavy tracks in the road and the high ways. And that will help to keep the highways safely and not congest especially the outside highways. “On the 2016 we will start to use the railway to transport the human passenger” said (Goryl, 2012). The green line which they called it will connect Shah which is located in Muzzarah in Madent Zayed to Habshan, then from the main port in the country such as Zayed port, Khalifa Port and Jabal Ali Port to the industry area. Also it will proved a useful connected line between the country and Saudi Arabia through al Gaweefat and between Oman through AL Ain.

Industry:

The railways will be used significantly to carry the material from and to the factories in the country or outside the country to Saudi Arabia or to Oman. In first stage the railway will transport the sulfate from the factory in Shah to Hubshan and this is for ADONC Company. Then after building the railways to the city and ports its will carry any material that will saved in big container and in huge size. “The heavy freight trains will transport a range of goods such as hydrocarbons, aluminums, rocks, cement and iron”. (Railway Technology, 2012).

Self- Reflection 1

Self- Reflection

On the 4th of Nov. 2012 we had meeting started at 10:00 AM and finished at 10:20 the meeting was a bout Emiratisation. This topic has been chosen be the teacher as a graded meeting topic, but our topic which I and my group member were chosen about how to improve the ADMC campus.

The new topic wasn’t difficult for us we deal with it without any problem and we did a very good job, we got our agenda for this topic in ten minutes. The reason of the short time we spend on the agenda was the good knowledge and the know-how of the topic that the group member had. The agenda match with the topic and related to it clearly and without any constraints or complexity.

However the topic we had chosen was rich with information and that because the time we took to prepare for the agenda than the graded meeting agenda, anyway this wasn’t a big issue. Me role in the meeting was a minutes taker I had chosen this role because I had play this role on the previous semester, my responsibility was to take the minutes and to organize the ideas that had been discuss in the meeting. On future and as a manager of a meeting I would like to take enough time to organize me ideas and to have a good and more comprehensive ideas depend on the topic, also select a good time on a very good environment such as the place of the meeting and the weather of this place.
